A pair of probably American "Chippendale Style" mahogany open arm elbow chairs with a laurel branch and wreath carved cresting rail above a shaped and carved anthemion splat fitted with a pair of extended swept arms and stuff over seat. Supported on moulded square supports. Probably 19th century but in the 18th-century style.
