A Chinese Imari pattern barbers bowl, 18th century, the centre painted with the three friends of winter Pine, Prunus & Bamboo, flanked by peony and chrysanthemums, the border with further flowers, heightened with gilding, the border with two pierced suspension holes, the underside with floral sprigs, 27.3cm diameter

Condition Report

12cm long by 4cm deep 'D' shape section broken in to and glued in place, from which issues a full length fine hairline crack, it may have been broken in two and glued together. There are small restored patches where the cracks terminate. A further small section restored on the foot rim. A couple of very small rim chips on the incurve. The bowl still rings out when lightly tapped. Cracks and restoration visible on online images.
