A George IV silver snuff box with an inscription, by Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1827, of rectangular form, with cushioned sides chased with floral scrolls, with a hinged cover enclosed by applied C-scroll border and thumbpiece, surrounding a rectangular cartouche which engraved: Subscribed to by those who meet in friendly chat in this canteen of wandering hence bear the "Star of Garter" in their hearts with "Honi soit qui mal y pense", further decorated with repeating engine-turned patterns around the borders and base, open to reveal gilt interior, 8.3 x 5.4 cm, 4.00 ozt.
