A pair of 19th Century gilt bronze candlesticks, after a design by Thomas Abbott, modelled in the Oriental style as storks or cranes with coronets around their necks, each supporting a foliate sconce on naturalistic base, 39.5cm high.

Condition Report

One stick is missing a removable interior sconce. The casting is not particularly crisp and detailed. The crane's toes are at unnatural angles in order to fit the rockwork base. The tip of one toe is missing. There are no signs of any further breakages or repairs.
