Of WWI interest: an extensive archive of material relating to Lieutenant G M Rowland, Lincolnshire Regiment, comprising his War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914-15 Star, uniform cap, a George V signed appointment certificate, two daggers in scabbards, a German issue bayonet, a German mess cup, cutlery in brown leather pouch, Christmas tin containing an original packet of cigarettes (and further tobacco), a small field radio, a collection of assorted military badges and coins, a framed sepia photograph of Lt Rowland (and further loose photographs), a cased pair of field glasses, numerous hand-written letters and postcards, two Western Front Maps (issued by the Daily Telegraph and George Philip & Son), an Army notebook with contents, his discharge letter dated 12th May 1919, a 1914 Infantry Training manual, assorted further training ephemera, two copies of the 1914 Field Service Pocket Book, Soldier's Pay Book, a Lewis Gun 'Stoppages' booklet, The Soldiers' Language Manual, a Lewis Gun Pencil Work Book, a personal notebook, with contents, Army Book 152A and 'The Golden Horseshoe - The Journal of the 37th Division'.
