A 1970s-80s Mdina Glass huge paperweight and an obelisk both after designs by Michael Harris, with greeny-beige swirling, mottled and cloudy patterns on greeny-blue glass grounds, the paperweight 11.5cm diam, the triangular section obelisk cased in colourless glass 32cm high. (2) Large paperweights of this size and larger are scarce as many split open or cracked in the lehr (cooling oven) due to heat stress unless the temperature of the lehr was carefully reduced and controlled.
