An 18ct gold half-hunter cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1909, American Watch Co, Waltham, Mass. lever movement no.12656046, the white dial signed ‘Fattorini & Sons, Bradford’ and with black Roman numerals, gilt spade hands and subsidiary seconds at 6, four piece hinged case, the cuvette with a contemporary presentation inscription dated May 27th 1911, the case back engraved with a crest, the cover with a black enamelled Roman chapter, hallmarked Chester 1909, 51mm diameter, 123.3 grams gross. The walnut tree and shield with fleur de lys crest and ribbon motto ‘Medio Tutissimus Ibis’ (The middle path is safest) of Waller.
