An Edwardian silver and tortoiseshell compendium powder compact, London 1909 by William Comyns. The hinged body opening to reveal a vanity mirror, aide-memoire and money clip. Decorated with neo-classical pique work, fitted a suspension loop. 9 cm long x 6 cm wide x 2.5 cm in thickness. Together with a heart-shaped tortoiseshell and silver-mounted correspondence clip (possible William Comyns also) and a lozenge form pin dish with silver tied reed border. 6,6 ozt gross weight of the compact
