Stefano Bruzzi (1835-1911) Italian depicting a pastoral landscape with a shepherd tending his sheep up in the mountains, signed lower right, oil on canvas, within a gilt wooden frame, 43 cm x 33 cm. Bruzzi worked in Rome and received commissions by high born families in Italy, such as the marchese Filippo Anguissola. He exhibited at the Exhibition of Parles and the Royal Academy of London between 1879-1883, where he was awarded medals for his talents. Today we can find some of his important works in the National Gallery in Florence and Rome.
