A Marko (Warka) face mask, Mali, a vertical crest with applied fibrous buns above an elongated face covered with sheet brass and stamped geometric decorations, pendants issuing from the bridge of the nose and temples, the sides pierced, height: 39.5cm; a Marko (Warka) mask, the central crest flanked by horns with interspersed raised ridges, the elongated face covered in a thick pigment with inset white seed pods, height: 52.5cm; a further Bamana mask with antelope head crest flanked by pointed ears above a narrow face with a long nose and pronounced lips, height: 41cm.

Condition Report

The mask on the left has the tip of the crest reglued at the rear. All have some chips, scuff and knocks to the high points and edges, but nothing too detrimental. The mask on the left has a small split at the rear of the top, in between two pierced holes. Most flaws are visible in the online images.
