Four Songye Nkisi/Nkishi power figures, Democratic Republic of Congo, each carved with their hands resting to the sides of their swollen abdomen, the female figure with blue & white glass bead necklace with a further adornment with added animal teeth to her waist, the Bishimba receptacle is vacant, 23.5cm; a male Nkisi figure with horn charge and applied hide, with cowrie shell eyes, the face and abdomen with brass studs and a reptile skin band around his chest, 27.8cm; and two further male figures, one with horn charge and Bishimba in a wrap around his body and a reptile skin band around his waist, 35.7cm, the other with a good patination, 20.5cm
