A Chinese Canton Rose enamel part teaset, circa 1860/70, comprising large teapot, two small teapots, milk jug on three legs, two jars and covers, an ointment pot and cover and ten assorted cups, each with typical Canton figural panels opposing panels of birds amongst flowers, (17)

Condition Report

Large teapot with break and chip to spout tip which has been glued. The smallest jar and cover has a tiny rim chip to the cover and a larger chip on the jar rim. The larger of the smaller teapots has a small chip to the tip of the peach finial and a small chip to the underside of the rim, the spout has a chip at the tip. The smallest teapot has a small interior rim chip. One leg on the milk jug g=has been broken off and glued back on. The ointment pot has small chip around the rim of the cover. Of the two smaller cups - one has a 4cm hairline crack. Of the eight larger cups four have faults - one has a restored handle, one has a rim chip from which issues a 4cm 'J' shape crack and a 3cm crack, one cup has a poorly restored rim chip from which issues a full length hairline crack, one cup has a 5cm hairline crack.
