Three studies of the meloe beetle, the larder beetle and the green tiger beetle, early 20th century zoological watercolours on canvas-lined paper Meloe Insecta, Cicindela Campestris and Dermestes Lardarius, all initialled KCL, all roughly 67 x 87 cm and marked verso 'comparative anatomy'. From a collection of over 60 unframed zoological and anatomical paintings, originally used in scientific departments within Kings College London. Proceeds of sale from this collection kindly being donated back to the university by the vendor. (3).
