Two early 20th century scrapbooks containing assorted ephemera reated to the Ellison-Macartney family, namely William Ellison Macartney (1852-1924), elected in 1885 as MP for South Antrim, and later (from 1912), serving as Governer of Tasmania and then Governer of Western Australia. The albums contain numerous newspaper cuttings, event invitations, postcards, original drawings, family (and other) photographs, with many tied to his time in Australia, together with a presentation visitor's book, from the Government House, Hobart, given to Lady Ellison-Macartney, dated 1913 and containing several handwritten entries across twelve pages.
