In the manner of Maurice Utrillo (1883-1955) French 'Le Lapin Agile Sous La Neige', undated, circa 1930s-40s, signed lower right 'Maurice, Utrillo, V', oil on cardboard, the reverse with numbers in red '6-452', within a wooden frame with House of Heydenryck's label and record numbers '644-81', 37 cm x 45 cm. Provenance: found in the contents of a New York storage unit, amongst other interesting works. The serial numbers to the back of the frame revealed that the work had been acquired in the early 20th century by Oscar and Jan Klein who owned the Central Picture Gallery. The records show that in 1962, it was sent to House of Heydenryck to be framed. Oscar and Jan Klein were renowned dealers, who held a prominent presence on the Impressionist and Old Master International market at the time, where they acquired works by important artists.
