Two Songye standing female (Nkisi), Democratic Republic of Congo, in the Kibeshi style, the larger example facing to the right with a cluster of horn charges in her coiffure, the head and body with scarifications, her hands resting either side of a swollen abdomen, with coloured glass beads adornments, height: 111cm. the smaller figure facing left with her cascading coiffure with a horn charge, the face embedded with brass and copper studs, her hands either side of a vacant Bishimba aperture, further empowered with red disk necklaces, seed pod, hide, and horn glass bead, height: 85 cm.
