Meme Ferré (XX-XXI) American / Central American / Cuban five 20th century abstract works, mixed media on paper, framed and glazed, 42 cm x 34 cm & 34 cm 42 cm. Meme Ferré is an American artist with a central American and Cuban background. As a young woman Ferré chose to shift away from her family lineage of political careers (her father Maurice A. Ferre’, was the Mayor of Miami from 1973 to 1985 was the first Hispanic Mayor of a major American city). She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in art history and painting and a master of arts (MA) from NYU in Education and Painting. Her artworks can be found in the collection of the Museo de Arte de Ponce, PR, Miami Dade County Public Library and in many private international collections.
