The Duchess was known throughout her life as a keen philanthropist with an interest in literature and was awarded an OBE in 2008 for her outstanding voluntary services to the community in Northern Ireland through founding the Pushkin Trust, named after her great-great-grandfather Alexander Pushkin.
The late Duchesses wardrobe includes tailored suits and exquisite evening gowns by numerous celebrated British couturiers, such as Bruce Oldfield, Catherine Walker, and Caroline Charles. Highlights include two 1960s dresses by Belinda Bellville, displaying incredibly sophisticated beadwork, also a ball gown by Victor Edelstein, renowned for designing the iconic velvet purple dress for Diana, Princess of Wales. Along with matching accessories and fascinators by Royal milliners such as Philip Somerville, Frederick Fox, and John Boyd.
