A 19th-century carved wood and gilt gesso two-seat sofa, probably English in the French taste with bowed arched back, the scroll arms with stiff leaf carved urn supports above a correspondingly bowed seat, on slender turned, fluted and tapering legs. 105 cm wide x 90 cm high. (re-gilt)

General wear throughout, commensurate with use. Some losses to the gilt frame, and would benefit from attention from an upholsterer. Some slight movement in the joints, the upholstery will need rewebbing as it has come loose and also another dust cover below as it is rotten.
