August Nicholas Cain (1822-1894) French a pair of cast bronze candelabra of naturalistic art nouveau form, each modelled with three sconces over a birds' nest containing chicks, one with an adult bird offering a worm, the other with a mouse, mounted on bamboo-effect stalks and a circular foot, the three feet modelled as snails, signed 'CAIN' to the bases, 50 cm high.
