Benson 9ct gold half-hunter pocket watch, featuring a keyless wound lever movement in a 9ct gold case measuring 50mm, with a glazed white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and minute track, a seconds subsidiary dial at six o’clock featuring black Arabic numerals, blue steel poire hands, the 9ct gold case cover featuring a black enamel chapter ring, inner of case back featuring Birmingham hallmarks, dated 1930, by Aaron Lufkin Dennison, inner of dust cover numbered ‘489615’, the fifteen-jewel movement signed J.W. Benson London; Gross weight 94.7 grams.

The watch is currently running, no long-term tests have been performed and accuracy cannot be guaranteed, a full service is advised on all watches and pocket watches once purchased.

Surface scratches, scuffs and small dents, consistent with age, use and material.

Crystal is loose and features some scratching and scuffing.

Debris to some areas, most notably around hinges.

Slight wear to enamel chapter ring, seen only under 10x loupe.

Push-button crown in good working order.

Dust cover and case back close flush.

Scratches and debris to dial, seen most notably near eight o’clock.
