Private collection, obtained by Dame Marguerite Olivia Rankin (known as Madame Vacani), a guest at the wedding. She founded the Vacami School of Dance in 1915, and went to tutor Princesses Margaret and Elizabeth, as well as Prince Charles and Princess Anne, in dance for formal occasions. Dame Vacani appeared on 'This is Your Life' in 1961. A pianist from her dance school, Florence Garner, was given the wedding cake by Madame Vacani as a gift, and it has been retained in her family by descent.

Box largely intact, with some wear to the edges. A portion of the contents has perished, but there is still a good section of cake (inedible).
