includes, Polaroid Land Camera Automatic 100, c.1960s, silver body, black cover to front, and leather strap, purchased by Angela in New York just before she started work with director John Huston on The Misfits (1961) starring Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable. Angela used this camera extensively for continuity photographs whilst working on many motion-pictures over the years including, Freud (1962), The Night of the Iguana (1964), The Dirty Dozen (1967), and The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968) Women in Love (1969); together with,
Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Alpha 1, c. 1970s, with open fold mechanism, numerical dials to lens, tripod mounting hole and neck strap eyelets and leather strap; and Polaroid One Step Instant camera, c. 1990s, both cameras used by Angela whilst working on films such as The Horseman (1971), Macbeth (1971), Theater of Blood (1973), Jesus Christ Superstar (1973), Dracula (1974), and many others; together with an opened box of Polaroid Image instant film, containing two packs sealed in foil packaging. Angela Allen, Script Supervisor, has worked on many of cinema’s celebrated films such as, The Third Man (1949), The African Queen (1951), The Misfits (1961),The Night of the Iguana (1964), Charge of the Light Brigade (1968), The Dirty Dozen (1967), Women in Love (1969), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Zulu Dawn (1979), Labyrinth (1986), and Tea with Mussolini (1999) to name but a few.
A collection of items consigned directly by British film industry treasure, Angela Allen MBE. Angela has worked on hundreds of films for over 60 years and trained as a script supervisor (formerly known as Continuity Girl) at the Korda Studios, working on The Third Man. She assisted John Huston on The African Queen and subsequently thirteen more Huston films, including Moby Dick and The Misfits. Other films include The Dirty Dozen, Women In Love and Murder on the Orient Express.
