A Japanese WW2 Kai Gunto naval officers sword, the tang being an anchor arsenal mark (Toyokawa?) with cord lashed ray skin tsuka and a cast bronze tsuba and lacquered leather-covered saya with two closely spaced obi-tori. 101 cm overall length inclusive of scabbard x 70 cm length of blade.

Condition Report

The leather scabbard is split but structurally good.

the blade has some very fine damage at the cutting edge, see the extra images.

The hilt and tuba are in good order but the mekugi will need replacing.
