Ferre’, was the Mayor of Miami from 1973 to 1985 was the first Hispanic Mayor of a major American city). She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in art history and painting and a master of arts (MA) from NYU in Education and Painting. Her artworks can be found in the collection of the Museo de Arte de Ponce, PR, Miami Dade County Public Library and in many private international collections.
