A Waring & Gillow George VI limed oak coronation stool designed by Edward Barnsley, bearing a George VI royal households brand and stamped Waring & Gillow, together with an Arts and Crafts style lattice back low armchair with rush seat.

Condition Report

A few woodworm flight holes on the underframe.

Signs of old metal brackets joining the legs with the frame they are now gone and the frame is a little loose but the mortice and tennons are still intact

The upholstery is not original and the original upholstery is not beneath the current covering.

The Arts & Crafts style chair is OK with what looks to be a freshly re-rushed seat.
