A Japanese World War II, Shin Gunto officers sword, with ray skin and cord-bound tsuka, gilt bronze tsuba, the blade with a cloud-like hamon, and a steel saya, the tang bearing kanji marks for Kanemune Fukumoto and a Seki arsenal mark and dated 1941. 101 cm overall length x 68 cm length of blade.

Condition Report

The hilt, Tsuba, and Scabbard show signs of a former keeper that is no longer fitted.

The hilt and tsuba are in good order.

The blade shows some signs of being re-polished at the cutting edge but the edge doesn't have any large divets to the edge see the extra images supplied .
