Condition Report
Please note:
I think the chair has been restored at some point and it is unclear if the side stretchers are replacements but they have been in place a long time, the drawer pegs are a little too flush with the surface possibly pointing to reassembly or replacements, and the seat has a strip of timber that is obviously a later introduction but again from old timber.
I have amended the description to include "And Later" to reflect my concerns.
The chair is of the period but to what extent elements are replaced with period timber a long time ago.is unclear.
The chair is structurally sound and stands as a decorative item.
