Kinzan; A finely painted Satsuma "Chawan" shaped bowl, Meiji period, late 19th century, the interior is painted with vignettes of tall ships, Geisha, and Samurai among colourful "brocade" borders, the exterior painted with many Manchurian/Red-Crowned Crane, wading and on the wing, bearing a three-character mark to the base, 11 cm overall diameter x 7 cm overall height.

Good order, no chips or cracks, some, fine crazing to the glaze, slight rubbing to the gilding on the rim.
