A Victorian hairwork mourning brooch, of oval form, glass compartment encasing braided hairwork, twisted surround engraved with a repeating foliate motif, topped with a pendant bail and fitted with a hinged-pin stem and C-catch, with glazed compartment with photograph to reverse, in unmarked yellow metal surface testing as 9ct, measurements approximately 6.5cm x 5.0cm.
