Cheryl Taylor – Senior Managing editor of Footwear Today

Senior managin editor of Footwear Today Magazine, the UK's and Eire's longest established footwear Journal in the UK & Eire, Cheryl Taylor, has donated a pair of shoes from her own personal collection. After a career in National Newspapers, Cheryl found editing a trade magazine a huge change, but soon fell in love with The World Of Footwear!
Cheryl has donated an incredible pair of MBT shoes in pristine condition that she received from the Swiss Company when they made them available for the UK market some 8-10 years ago.
MBT - the so-called 'anti-shoe' stands for Masai Barefoot Technology and the shoes were invented by a Swiss engineer called Karl Müller in the early 1990s. He noticed, on a visit to Korea, that walking barefoot over some soft paddy fields alleviated his back, knee and Achilles tendon problems.
About the shoes Cheryl says ‘I love the engineering that went into them, their sleek design and their interesting history! I still wear MBTs today, but not these ones, they are too precious and now form part of my shoe collection’
