Condition Report

Both panels are sound and the paintings are overall in good condition. Fine craquelure is visible on close inspection. There is no evidence of retouching when viewed under UV light. However a thick varnish makes a reading difficult.

Sheep: there are scattered spots of surface dirt, mainly in the sky. There are some areas of minor rubbing and some resultant loss visible in the centre of the sky, and a small loss to the lower centre of the right edge.

Cattle: scattered spots of surface dirt, mainly in the sky. There is a vertical surface scuff mark in the sky, left.
