A Peter Ilsley blue micro-crystalline glazes studio pottery vase the tapering, bulbous porcelain body with thin neck covered all-over with a blue toned microcrystalline glaze, the base inscribed 'Peter Ilsley', 21cm high. Ilsley (1932-2014) began potting professionally in 1963, and focused purely on crystalline glazes from 1989 onwards. He wrote 'Macro-Crystalline Glazes: The Challenge of Crystals', which was published by Crowood Press in 1999.
