A 19th-century Meissen porcelain figure group of Venus and young Cupid aboard a chariot drawn by a pair of Billing Doves, Venus is seated holding a garland of flowers and the apple of discord, bearing blue crossed swords and the incised number. 2260, 16 cm long, together with a" Wolfson" style Meissen style lobed tureen and cover and matching Meissen dessert plate, both typically decorated with Bleu Celest panels alternating with Wateauesque figures in landscapes, the plate with cancelled cross swords the tureen with cross batons, 15 cm wide.

Condition Report

Fading to guilt decoration commensurate with age.

Obvious signs of restoration, chips and losses throughout the figure group. Restoration to the wheels, garlands and cupids back foot and shin. Losses to include the head of one of the billing doves and the tie holding them to Cupid.
