A Dutch gold Ducat from Akerendam shipwreck, 1724, minted in Utrecht, obverse with a standing knight in full armour holding a sword and seven arrows, legend 'CONCIRDUA RES PARVAE CRESTRA', reverse with a legend on square cartouche framed by scrolled ornaments, total weight of item 3.5 grams.

This 1724 ducat is believed to be one of the 6,600 gold coins salvaged from the Akerendam shipwreck, where the newly built vessel sank on its way to Batavia in 1725, the coins were excavated from Runde Island in 1972 and 1973.
