A rare late 1960s Mdina Glass 'Cut Ice' vase designed and made by Michael Harris, the colourless flat, ovoid body containing swirls in silver chloride beige, green, blue, and browny-purple, one face cut with large polished facets, the base signed by Michael Harris 'Michael Harris Mdina Glass Malta', 22.4cm high. Glass signed by Michael Harris with his name is very rare, and the presence of his signature usually indicates that he made that piece himself. The plethora of small 'seeds' in the colourless casing and the slight green tinge, may indicate that this is an early piece. Thus, if it is early, it is almost certain that Harris made this piece due to the skills and experience needed to make it at the time.
