A 19th century Russian carved wood icon with openwork background, unpainted, the upper section depicting the Dormition, with the figure of Mary flanked by a male and female ecclesiastical saint, over a central representation of Micheangelo's 'The Deposition', flanked by St Anthony and St Gregory, the lower section with a depiction of the Resurrection of Christ, cyrillic script to the central section, 19.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
