A collection of five Victorian truncheons including turned wood, painted with 'Wilts Constabulary' below a crown, on a black ground, with polished ribbed handle (45 cm), one painted with a Rampant Lion, supporting a flag bearing the word 'DON' all above 'VR', over "Sergt. 25", on a black ground, with polished ribbed handle (40 cm), one decorated with a crown above 'V.R' and 'Lt. T, Parish' in gilt, on a black ground, with ribbed handle (39 cm), one with a lion passant above a rampant lion within a gilded shield, 'Manor of Upcerne' painted in gilt, with a shaped handle (41 cm), and one with lion passant above a crown and VR stamped within a rectangular cartouche, the reverse painted with the Arms of Glasgow motif; a Oak Tree with Robin and Salmon, over 'Resdt. Commr, 24, Ward' lettering, all on a black ground, with ribbed handle (46 cm). (5)
