Condition Report

Canvas relined in the 20th century (and possibly earlier) and with 20th century stretchers. Signs of re-touching throughout under UV light, especially to the ground and figures at the base of the painting and to the central temple building. Previous craquelure evident throughout. Previous horizontal creases or tears across the length of the canvas have been restored - particularly evident a quarter of the way down the canvas, and towards the centre.
