A Victorian mourning brooch with hair work panel, together with an amethyst bar brooch; the mourning brooch of domed circular form, set with a rock crystal cabochon and a seed pearl star-set to the centre, encompassed with a frame of beaded details, outer dome further encircled with twisted rope decoration and an enamelled laurel wreath border, glazed compartment to the back encasing braided hair work, unmarked metal testing as 15ct, 4.3 cm wide; the 9ct yellow gold bar brooch centred with an oval amethyst flanked by diamond accents, Birmingham 1989, 5.3 cm wide; Total weight of items 26.2 grams.
