Labyrinth (1986) Original Production Script Signed by Script Supervisor Angela Allen – Third draft script edited version by Terry Jones and Laura Phillips, Story by Jim Henson and Dennis Lee, Henson Associates Inc., dated April 11, 1985, the first front page numbered 38 and Signed by Angela Allen in blue ink with her ownership name and annotations in black ink, unbound, an additional illustrated front page and a further 130-pages on white sheets, with pink revision sheets, extensively annotated by Angela in ink throughout, 22 x 30cm.

The musical fantasy film, directed by Jim Henson with George Lucas as Executive Producer, is based on conceptual designs by Brian Froud who had previously collaborated with Henson on ‘The Dark Crystal’ (1982). Labyrinth stars David Bowie as Jareth, the Goblin King, Jennifer Connelly as Sarah, and many characters played by puppets produced by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The film was nominated for a Bafta Award for Best Visual Effects and was the last feature film directed by Jim Henson before his death in 1990.

Angela Allen is credited on the film as Script Supervisor.

Angela Allen, Script Supervisor, has worked on many of cinema’s celebrated films such as, The Third Man (1949), The African Queen (1951), The Misfits (1961),The Night of the Iguana (1964), Charge of the Light Brigade (1968), The Dirty Dozen (1967), Women in Love (1969), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Zulu Dawn (1979), Hamlet (1990),and Tea with Mussolini (1999) to name but a few.

A collection of items consigned directly by British film industry treasure, Angela Allen MBE. Angela has worked on hundreds of films for over 60 years and trained as a script supervisor (formerly known as Continuity Girl) at the Korda Studios, working on The Third Man. She assisted John Huston on The African Queen and subsequently thirteen more Huston films, including Moby Dick and The Misfits. Other films include The Dirty Dozen, Women In Love and Murder on the Orient Express.
