Natalia Goncharova (1881-1962) Russian Three mid-20th century original watercolour costume designs for the theatre, ballet or opera. Each with various annotations in the artist's own hand. Also each with another signature in blue ink, one with a French annotation, presumably by a Parisian theatre director signing off her submitted sketches.  Two with monogram 'NG' (43cm x 31cm) and the third cropped (38.3cm x 31cm) without , yet with a piece of original fabric chosen for the costume. Condition as per images. Natalia Goncharova, was a Russian avant-garde artist, costume designer, writer and set designer. A founding member of the Jack of Diamonds; the premier radical exhibition group of Moscow. After moving to Paris in 1921 she worked closely with theatrical directors and costumiers until her death and has become one of the most expensive female artists at auction. Provenance: Iconastas Gallery, Piccadilly Arcade, St. James's, London.
