Provenance Note from the vendor.
‘About 40 years ago I was a building surveyor working for the Burton group ( later becoming Arcadia) . Burtons had a property on Oxford Street/Regent Street Top Shop . The top floor of this building was occupied by Aire Recording Studios I was carrying out a routine inspection and was in the coffee lounge waiting for the facilities manager watching the cricket on TV . A voice behind me said " what is the score" I turned round and found I was talking to Paul McCartney. This was in the days when surveyors did not have electronic equipment but I had my clip board which he signed for me .I thanked him and was about to leave and he said are you not going to get his pointing to one of the booths I had not noticed that Pete Townsend had been there all the time and he was very friendly and also signed. What I do regret is that Linda was there and I did not ask her to sign, she was a very nice person’.
