Attributed to Ludovico Carrucci (1555-1619) Italian, after Guido Reni (1575-1642) Italian, 'Madonna with Child and St. John the Baptist', oil on board, 20.5 cm x 15.5 cm in a heavy gilt frame.

Provenance: bearing an incomplete label verso, believed to be for John Smith, 'Carver, Gilder and Looking Glass Manufacturer, 98 Swallow Street near Conduit Street', with handwritten text (indistinct) stating the picture was 'bought at Phillips in 1873'.
