Daniel Craig Supports RNLI’s Lifesaving Mission

An RNLI t-shirt signed by James Bond star Daniel Craig went under the hammer at Dawsons!

No Time to Die star Daniel Craig once again showed his support for the lifesavers of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) with a signed t-shirt that was sold at auction by Dawsons.

To coincide with the release date of the James Bond film, No Time to Die, the RNLI auctioned off a t-shirt signed by Daniel Craig at the leading UK auction house - Dawsons.

The lucky bidder received the signed t-shirt, and also won a two-night stay at the RNLI College hotel in Poole with breakfast included where the t-shirt was presented alongside a tour.

The James Bond actor has been a lifelong supporter of the RNLI, with his previous involvement including supporting a station campaign at Hoylake near where he grew up and going afloat with the crew at Ramsgate.

T-Shirt as worn and signed by Daniel Craig. Sold at Dawsons for £2,100

Back in November 2019, one of two signed t-shirts gifted by Daniel Craig was auctioned on eBay, raising almost £800. Needless to say, the RNLI were delighted that Dawsons' global marketing reach ensured this particular signed t-shirt, raised more than twice as much at auction!

The charity, which provides a lifeboat and lifeguard search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, mainly made up of volunteers, experienced a busy summer of staycations this season as uncertainty around foreign travel continued. The proceeds from this auction will help meet the demand on the RNLI to continue saving lives at sea.

Daniel Craig said: ‘I am honoured and immensely proud to support the RNLI’.

RNLI Fundraising Director, Jayne George, said: ‘We are really grateful to have Daniel’s continued support, the money raised from the auction will make a huge difference.

‘The donations we receive help us invest in vital training and equipment as well education to help prevent people getting in trouble.’
