An early 20th century diamond-set brooch; set with a central old European-cut diamond of approximately 1.81ct, flanked above and below by a further old European-cut diamond of 0.93ct and a transitional-cut of 0.94ct, to a cartouche-shaped surmount, intricately pierced with geometric openwork and set with a variety of round-cut diamonds ranging in size from 2.25mm to 1.0mm, set within collet and bead mounts with millegrain detailing, fitted with a hinged pin with C-scroll catch to reverse; white metal mount surface testing as platinum, white metal fittings surface testing as 18ct, brooch measuring 6.5 cm x 2.2 cm, weight 17.4 grams.
