Footnote:
Euan Uglow studied with Robert (Bob) Dawson (1921-2012) at Camberwell School of Art under painters such as Victor Passmore and Willam Coldstream. They became friends and Uglow gave the painting to Bob when he married in 1949. Meanwhile Dawson had transferred to Kennington City and Guilds School of Art as he found three-dimensional work more interesting and ended majoring in sculpture. He subsequently taught sculpture and wrote several books on the subject. Northampton Museum & Art Gallery have some of his works in their collection.

Condition Report
In original condition. Slightly dirty. Some minor abrasion visible to framing edges. A few scattered areas of minor craquelure. A small flake of loss to the upper left quadrant. No evidence of restoration when viewed under UV.
