A large late Victorian silver tray, Sheffield 1899 by Walker and Hall, with pierced gallery border and twin handles, the centre with engraved presentation inscription to 'JH Valentine of the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue, Manchester', surrounded by reserves of flora and wildlife, on four bun feet, 62 cm x 43 cm x 9 cm, 147 ozt.

The full inscription reads "5637-5662, Presented together with a silver tea and coffee service. To the Rev. J.H. Valentine hazan of the Spanish and Portuguese synagog Manchester. As a mark of esteem and as a souvenir of 25 years ministrations by the members and seat holders of the congregation 1877-1902"
