Private collection thence by descent. 'Treasury p256' refers to 'The Roald Dahl Treasury' first published in 1997 by Jonathan Cape, where an extract from 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory' can be found on pages 244 to 262.

Initial ink drawing ('W Wonka from Treasury p256) - paper very thin with some light creasing and a small fold to the top left corner
Pen and watercolour drawing - sight crease along the bottom right corner, white correction fluid under Wonka's right arm and on standing leg. Some minor staining and the beginning of foxing to the paper
Happy Wonka Christmas - signs of foxing down the right side
