Drocourt of Paris; a Gorge cased, 8-day calendar, hour repeating alarm carriage clock, with bright cut and fire gilt case and bale handle, fitted with a primary enamelled circular Roman dial with alarm and calendar subsidiary dials below, all set withing an engraved gilt metal mask and fitted blued steel 'moon hands', the primary dial marked for the retailer: M. Armbruster, London, the movement numbered 7272 and engraved; No: 3870 to the edge of the front skirt/ plinth, accompanied by a double ended key, 16 cm high (handle up).
Pierre Drocourt and his son Alfred Drocourt operated from Paris in the 19th century. They were renowned for making decorative and complex carriage clocks and received numerous medals at international exhibitions for their (often "Gorge" cased carriage clocks with complications such as calendars and alarms

Both trains wind freely, and the push repeat works as expected. The balance runs with agitation but soon stops. The alarm function activates as expected.
